When your course shows up on a piracy site, the download itself usually is not on that site. It sits on a file host like MEGA (mega.nz), and the listing just links to it. That is good news: MEGA is a compliant host with a designated copyright agent, so a notice sent to the right place removes the file, not just one link to it.

This is usually the single highest-leverage move you can make, higher than anything aimed at the listing page, because taking the file down at the host kills every listing that points to it at once. We have filed against MEGA-hosted course files ourselves, in July 2026, and the route below is the one that worked.
Open the pirate listing that ranks for your course name and find where the download points. On most listing sites the visible button leads to a mega.nz file or folder URL. Copy the whole link, including the part after the # sign, which is the decryption key MEGA needs to identify the file. If the listing hides the link behind a countdown or a shortener, follow it through until you land on the mega.nz address.

Send it from an email address on your own domain if you have one; a notice from a reachable sender on a named domain is handled faster than one from a throwaway account.
After MEGA acts, reopen the link. A file or folder that has been taken down no longer downloads: it reports a takedown or blocked state instead of serving the archive. That is your confirmation, and it is more reliable than checking whether the listing page still exists, because the listing can stay up while pointing at a dead file.
In our July 2026 filings, a MEGA folder holding a pirated Blender course was taken down after a notice to the designated agent: the folder stopped serving the file and returned MEGA's removed state when we rechecked. Killing the file at MEGA is what ends the harm; the listing page that linked to it becomes a dead end whether or not the listing itself ever comes down.
Budget around 20 minutes for your first MEGA notice, most of it spent finding the true link behind the listing. Then a recheck a few days later, and again whenever a reupload appears, because a determined uploader will often post a fresh copy.
